LOCAL DESIGNERS AND ARTISTS JOIN CREATIVE FORCES TO “CREATE FOR A CAUSE”
CLEVELAND, OHIO – Local designers and artists and proudly combine their creative talents in art, fashion and music to raise awareness in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The event, “Create For A Cause” has partnered with The Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio to receive proceeds from this event. 
“Create For A Cause: ART + FASHION + MUSIC” will feature a fashion show by designer Dru Christine, Artwork showcase artists, including R.A. Sims and Tonyarie with live music. The event will take place on Saturday, October 24th at Fillmore’s (located at 15617 Waterloo Road in Cleveland, Ohio ~ part of The Waterloo Arts District). The will be two shows, 3pm and 7pm. 
“In keeping with our community commitment, we proudly present ‘Create For A Cause’ to further awareness of the fight against Breast Cancer as well as The Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio.” says Thompson, event organizer and owner of Dru Christine Fabrics & Design. “We started these events in 2013 and are pleased to see them grow each year; we are truly excited to work with this organization while helping with their mission.”
The Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio (BCFOhio) is a statewide, independent, nonprofit organization established in November 2004 and incorporated January 2005. It is the only statewide breast cancer organization that keeps 100% of funds in Ohio. Formed by survivors, the purpose of the Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio is to distribute funds throughout Ohio for financial assistance to breast cancer patients and to improve access to quality health care and clinical trials.

SUCCESS!!! Great turn out: “Create For A Cause”

Truly grateful for the HUGE support for “Create For A Cause”. By 2pm, the place was jumping, walls were bare and goals were EXCEEDED! I love watching ideas come to fruition and more importantly, pass all expectations. Thanks to the other artists and designers Imani Allen of Eyecatchers, Sylvia Munodawafa of Vakoma Art and Robin Smith of LeMahogany for joining this journey and Minority Women With Breast Cancer Uniting, Incorporated for believing in this event.
